If you have ever found yourself dreaming about that luxurious master bedroom with en-suite, a spacious home office, a safe play area for the children or even a personal gym then a loft or garage conversion would be the most suitable home development for you. FAQWill my loft/garage be suitable for a conversion? Not all lofts are suitable for a conversion but all garages are. The best way to find out is to arrange a free no obligation visit. One of our specialists will be able to study the area and confirm if it would be suitable. What type of conversions can you provide? We provide…
Is Building Control approval required?Yes, every loft and garage conversion used for actual living space (i.e. bedroom) must have this approval. It can take several weeks before approval is received, however as long as the correct information is supplied to the building regs, approval will always be given. It does mean that work can commence before the approval has been received on the understanding that work is carried out at the owners’ risk. Planning permission is a separate area and will only be required when the external look of the build is changed. Are you insured?Yes we have full Public Liability insurance up to £2 million. When could you start? We would aim to commence work within 3 months of agreeing a quote but does depend on the complexity of the conversion. How long would the work take? From 1 – 5 weeks. This would depend on the complexity of the conversion and the requirements of the customer. What would it cost me?The best way for us to confirm the cost is for our specialist to visit your property and discuss your requirements. Once this has been done a detailed fixed quote would be sent to you within 5 working days. Any additional work required that is not included within our written quote will be discussed and charged accordingly. Will I get exactly what I want?Yes most of the time and wherever possible within the constraints of building control. Do you have a show work we can visit?Yes - you can visit both work in progress and completed projects, just let us know when you would like to visit and that can be arranged. |
